Seventy-seven percent of GRPS students are economically disadvantaged. Their parents work and many times they have to get themselves to school.

Since nearly 40 different languages are spoken by students in the district, it is nearly impossible to get the message out to everyone.

a blurb from News 8... it reminded of how thankful I am to the truely diverse school district I grew up in

TFA on Wikipedia

TFA is on Wikipedia

"In its first year, TFA placed only 500 teachers. In 2005, The New York Times reported Teach For America received applications from "12 percent of Yale's graduates, 11 percent of Dartmouth's and 8 percent of Harvard's and Princeton's." In 2006, close to 19,000 individuals applied for an incoming corps of 2,400.[... It is reported that between 10 and 15 percent of each Teach For America corps class leaves before completing their two-year commitment.["

getting my hair cut

I'm getting my hair cut monday morning.... tell me which cut you would like best on my

remember I have a square head... my sources tell me that people with square heads should avoid long straight hair without bangs that is parted down the middle... so basically that is me... I'm thinking something short real short since my hair is currently below armpits in length... here are your choices... some similiar hair cuts are lumped together...

A

I call this option short and layered with a wanna be bang

B

This is what I call the conservative pixie... I think this is my favorite

I have an other pic of this cut.... but you can see one of the girls nipples... so i didnt post it

C

pixie with pointy bangs

D

smoth and really short.... kind like a helmet

E

bahut layers and gel... or something

oh and this is my square head...

and how my hair is most often seen... in a bun

HI IM EMILY, I SUCK

Saturday, January 07, 2006

You are most like: CHARLOTTE

How certain are we? BARELY

You're more than an optimist. To you, the glass is always half full...even when it's broken. Sure, you can be a little overzealous in the pursuit of perfection. But that dedication is also what makes you such a great friend to have. You're a winner because you never quit. You persevere even when the odds are stacked against you (which happens more than you'd like to admit).
